Our Story, Our
Purpose|
"Every person deserves a life of dignity, choice and belonging, and we are here to make that possible."
Komplete Disability Support Services is a values-based, NDIS-registered provider committed to safe, equitable, empowering and compassionate support for people living with disability across Australia.
Where We Come From
Komplete Disability Support Services was founded in 2021 by a caring group of families who came together with a shared purpose: to support individuals living with disability to live meaningful, dignified and self-determined lives.
From the very beginning, Komplete was built as a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) specialist NDIS provider. We have been supporting community members with limited English proficiency who require additional orientation and advocacy since our very first day of operation, because we recognised a critical gap in the sector that wasn't being addressed.
Our organisation was founded with a strong commitment to supporting people from refugee, migrant, humanitarian, and other culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds living with disability. Many individuals and families face additional challenges when navigating Australia's health, disability, and community service systems, particularly where language barriers, cultural differences, trauma, or limited social supports exist. Our team is committed to delivering person-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally safe services that ensure every participant feels respected, understood, and empowered to achieve their goals, regardless of their background, language, or life experience.
"We did not start this organisation to run a business. We started it because we saw people in our community, people we knew and loved, not getting the support they deserved. That is still why we show up every single day."
Why We Exist
Komplete Disability Support Services exists to provide safe, respectful and quality disability support for people who need it. We specialise in disability supports that are culturally safe, trauma-informed, evidence-based and person-led. We work alongside and with people, families, carers, communities and professionals, not for people or to people.
Our role is to listen first, build trust, understand each person's strengths, culture, needs, and goals, and support people to rise with dignity, choice, control, and equal opportunity.
What We Are Working Towards
Six goals shape our decisions, from how we plan a support session to how we grow as an organisation.
We bring disability supports together under one roof, so participants and families face fewer gaps, less confusion and a clearer path to the outcomes they want.
Every support we deliver is safe and evidence-informed, and always within scope, shaped around each person's functional, emotional and everyday needs.
We build genuine partnerships where a person's voice, culture, goals and lived experience guide every decision about their own support.
We uphold every person's right to be heard, respected and included, and to make informed choices about their own life, without exception.
We deliver culturally responsive support for CALD communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, honouring identity, language, family and connection to culture.
Through honest reflection, feedback and learning from every incident, we continually strengthen the quality and safety of what we do.
The Values That Guide Us
These aren't words we keep on a wall. They shape how we speak, listen, plan, respond to risk and earn trust with the people and communities we work alongside.
No one is reduced to a diagnosis or a task on a list. We treat every person as whole, worthy and deserving of respect in every interaction.
The direction comes from the participant, always. Their goals, preferences and choices shape what support looks like and how it is delivered.
Culture, language, identity and community matter to us. We hold a particular commitment to CALD communities and First Nations participants, and it shows in how we work.
We do what we say we will do. We keep honest records, raise concerns early and own our mistakes as readily as our successes.
Good outcomes rarely happen alone. We work hand in hand with families, carers, communities and other professionals to get there.
Every support session sits within scope, follows the person's plan and meets the standard of care they deserve, with no shortcuts.
Real support is built on relationships, not transactions. Trust, patience and consistency come first, every time.
Background should never be a barrier. We work to make access, participation and opportunity fair for everyone we support.
Making a Real
Difference
Every number represents a real person whose life we're proud to support across Australia.
Make a ReferralOur Principles in Action
For us, good support is practical, respectful, culturally safe and grounded in genuine relationships. Quality care isn't something done to a person. It's something built alongside them.
What sets us apart is simple. We lead with values, respond to culture and put the participant in charge. Our job is to remove barriers, join up support and earn trust while treating the whole person with care.
"Every person deserves the chance to live the life they choose, with the right support, at the right time, from people who genuinely care."
Commitment in Practice
Our values aren't just written down. They show up in every interaction, every plan and every support session, without exception.
